The new "Crossed Field Antenna" (CFA) by QHtenna offers a small antenna for limited space, maritime mobile, and seasonal DX work.

This is NOT a loaded vertical or loop type antenna. It uses technology that can be difficult to understand, but is easy to see the results -- its performance speaks for itself!

The transmit bandwidth is limited to about 1.5 percent of the design frequency, and the receive bandwidth is limited to about 3 percent.

This antenna is virtually immune to man-made generated noise, which aids in receiving in a noisy environment. The CFA is made to cover a frequency range of 1500 KHz to 5500 KHz. The 80 meter version is about 6 feet long, and the 160 meter version is about 12 feet long.

The antenna is built from 2 inch aluminum tubing and PVC pipe. As many hams know, all of our different models of antennas revolve around good old PVC pipe.
